Great write-up. I think Layton is the best choice for the left, but in his exit interviews he seemed pretty winded by politics. I'm sure we'll see him run again 10+ years down the line.
Other names that come to mind are former mayor David Miller, former NDP candidate Paul Taylor, and former Maple Leafs CEO Richard Peddie.
Thanks Chris! Definitely have also heard some of those other names, but Miller was before my time and I'm not too sure if he'd return to be Mayor again? Interesting idea though.
